This interview experience for an SDE Intern role at Thoughtspot involved four rounds.
Round-1 (Online coding test): This round was scheduled for December 20, 2021, on Hackerrank. It consisted of a simple implementation problem. Specific problems mentioned were related to Breadth-First Search (BFS) and a problem similar to "Minimum Degree of a Connected Trio in a Graph" on LeetCode.
Round-2 (Technical Interview): Held on January 28, 2022, this round included two coding questions. One was the "Snake and Ladder Problem," and the other was similar to "Subarrays with K Different Integers" on LeetCode.
Round-3 (Technical Interview): Also held on January 28, 2022, this round had two parts. The first problem was "Minimum Sum Partition" from GeeksforGeeks. The second involved implementing class methods related to a dynamic stock price, where the task was to return the maximum and minimum values of the stock over time.
Round-4 (Managerial Interview): This round took place a few days after the technical interviews. It started with an introduction, followed by questions about projects and the technologies used, specifically deep concepts in ReactJS. The interviewer emphasized the importance of in-depth knowledge for passionate individuals. The candidate was also asked to choose between Thoughtspot and Tesla. Tips provided included knowing everything on your resume thoroughly, being able to explain it clearly, being prepared to implement features by coding, remembering proper syntax, and having strong basics.
