Siemens EDA visited the college in September 2024 for Software Intern/Embedded Intern roles. The process consisted of an Online Assessment and one round of online interview.
Online Assessment
This round had a duration of 1 hour and included 25 MCQs and 2 coding questions. MCQ topics covered General Aptitude, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, C/C++/Java output questions, and basic electrical circuits. The first coding question was medium, and the second was hard. The round was video and audio proctored. Candidates who solved at least 1 coding question and 20+ MCQs were shortlisted; 9 for software and 3 for embedded profiles.
Interview Round
This round lasted 1 hour with a single interviewer. After a formal introduction, the interviewer asked very simple C++ STL questions, then delved into their implementation. Two coding questions were asked: "Reverse a Linked List" and "Right view of a linked list". The interviewer also inquired about the inner implementation of the Hash map in C++ STL, including collisions and time complexity. Pseudo-codes were accepted. Only 2 candidates were selected from the Software domain.
