Siemens EDA visited the college in September for Software intern/Embedded Intern roles. Location options were Bengaluru/Noida. CGPA criteria was 7. Both M.Tech/B.Tech were eligible.
Round 1: Online Assessment (HackerEarth, 1 hour)
This round consisted of 25 MCQs and 2 coding questions. It was video and audio proctored and held from the college auditorium.
MCQ topics included General Aptitude, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, C/C++/Java Output questions, and 11th/12th level questions based on easy electrical circuits.
Candidates who solved at least 1 coding question and 20+ MCQs were shortlisted. Around 9 from software and 3 from embedded profiles were shortlisted.
Interview Round (MS Teams, 1 hour)
There was only one interviewer. After a formal introduction, he asked very simple C++ STL questions and then went deeper into their implementation.
The interviewer also asked about the inner implementation of Hash map in C++ STL, including collisions, time complexity, etc. Pseudo codes were accepted.
Only 2 candidates were selected from the Software domain, and none from embedded.
