State Street visited the campus for a recruitment drive for a Technology Internship Program.
Round 1: Online Assessment
This round assessed aptitude and core computer science knowledge through multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and a coding challenge. Candidates had the option to choose one out of three coding questions, primarily focused on graph algorithms. Out of nearly 400 applicants, 50 were selected.
Round 2: Technical Interview
The interviewer was friendly, and the discussion primarily revolved around the candidate's resume and projects. Questions included: "transition from Java to C++ and the advantages and disadvantages of each language." A scenario requiring data retrieval was presented, for which solutions using both SQL and Python were discussed. Additional questions covered "differences between stacks and queues," "their real-life applications," and "favorite subjects from BTech coursework." The candidate was shortlisted for the HR round within 15 minutes.
Round 3: HR Interview
This was a brief interview that included questions about hobbies and interests. A key tip for future applicants was to focus heavily on projects and be well-versed in their resume, as unclear project details might lead the interviewer to core subjects like data structures and algorithms, operating systems, software engineering project management, and database management systems.
