This interview process for an SDE 2 role at Slice consisted of 3 rounds.
Round 1 - Technical Discussion (60 minutes): This round focused on projects the candidate had worked on, design patterns used, and technical challenges faced along with their resolutions. Questions were also asked based on the candidate's CV.
Round 2 - Coding and Problem Solving (60 minutes): The candidate was given a binary tree balancing problem and was expected to provide production-ready code. Follow-up questions on the proposed approach were also asked.
Round 3 - Manager Round (60 minutes): This round was with the prospective manager. It started with an easy-level problem-solving question, with a focus on code correctness, naming conventions, and clean code. Subsequently, questions were asked about how to technically solve a customer-user based problem end-to-end, and the approach for the same was discussed.
