This candidate successfully secured an Intern+FTE opportunity at Pure Software. The selection process involved multiple stages.
The initial screening included **two 30-minute tests** and **one 90-minute test**. These tests assessed English comprehension, Aptitude, and Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) problems.
The **first interview round** was technical and considered relatively easy. It began with an introduction, followed by questions about the candidate's projects and the challenges encountered during development. Since the candidate had an interest in machine learning, related questions were posed. Additionally, questions on SQL queries and Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) concepts were asked. A coding problem required implementing a binary search solution and then modifying it to find the first occurrence of a specific number.
The **second interview round** was a hybrid of HR and technical questions. The interviewer delved deeper into the candidate's projects. Behavioral questions included discussing strengths and weaknesses, with the candidate being prompted to share at least 3-4 weaknesses.
The **last interview** was entirely HR-based. Questions focused on experiences with conflicts in projects and how they were handled. The candidate was also asked to share a personal story never told before. The round concluded with a briefing on the Cost To Company (CTC) breakdown and other official matters.
The candidate attributed their success to an in-depth knowledge of DSA and OOPs concepts, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication. Advice for aspiring candidates included maintaining a good grasp of subjects, developing problem-solving abilities, achieving a good CGPA, and managing nervousness during the process.
