Experience:

This interview experience for an SDE Intern + Full Time role at Practo in March 2022 comprised three rounds. Round 1 was an Online Assessment (90 minutes) on HackerRank, featuring six questions: three coding problems, two MCQs, and one database design question. The coding questions included one on repeated deletion of a substring "AWS" (solved using a stack), one similar to "Coco Eating Bananas" (binary search based), and an Ad Hoc problem. MCQ questions were based on Graph DFS/BFS traversals. The database question involved designing a database for a Music school. Round 2 (Technical Interview 1, 30-40 minutes) involved coding questions such as "Delete nth node from the end of the linked list" and "Write a function to convert a decimal number to binary using recursion," along with SQL queries based on hypothetical scenarios. Round 3 (Technical Interview 2, 45 minutes) started with a discussion of the candidate's best project, focusing on technologies used and features, and questions related to ReactJS and HTTP status codes. A DSA question, "Longest Palindromic Substring" (a classical DP problem), required explaining the approach (brute force then optimized with DP). This round also included 4-5 SQL queries and some basic Operating System questions. The candidate was offered the SDE Intern + Full Time position.
