The selection process for Raja Software Labs for freshers in Pune included an MCQ test, a coding test, and three technical interviews.
1st Round - MCQ (30 minutes): This round had 20 MCQs focusing on programming questions (code completion, output prediction, syntax/semantics) and a few aptitude questions. The test was conducted via Google Forms.
2nd Round - Programming (1 hour): This round involved 5 coding questions on Google Docs, requiring only function completion without compilation. Questions were based on Fibonacci series, prime numbers, and strings (e.g., check if strings are anagrams, angle between clock hands, first non-repeating character, replacing space with "%?").
3rd Round - Technical Interview 1: This was a fully technical round with no introduction. The interviewer asked two coding questions, with 15 minutes per question and only function writing. Questions included "Stock buy the sell (only one purchase is allowed)" and a puzzle: "Given Data: 198 red balls and 2 blue balls. Solution: By removing 100 red balls, we get 98 red balls and 2 blue balls remaining in the box which is the required answer."
4th Round - Technical Interview 2: Started with an introduction and resume-based questions. Then, two coding questions and one puzzle were asked with similar rules (dry run code on paper, explain thought process). The coding question mentioned was "Write a function that takes a string as input and replaces the space with "%?"".
5th Round - Technical Round (HR): This round focused on resume, projects, and prior work experiences. The candidate discussed their 3rd-year mini-project as their BE project was not started. The interviewer also asked textbook HR questions like weaknesses and plans for a master's degree. The candidate mentioned not being able to solve one coding question in this round but still received an offer.
Overall Experience: The candidate received an offer letter a week after the interviews.
