Topics Asked: Data Structures (Graphs, DP, Tree), Algorithms, Resume-based questions, OOPs (C++ concepts: 4 pillars, polymorphism, virtual functions), Project architecture, Technologies used, Protocols applied, Behavioral questions.

Experience:

This candidate from a Tier-1 College in India secured a 6-month internship followed by a Full-Time Employee (FTE) offer at RingCentral through an on-campus placement drive. The compensation included a ₹50K stipend for 6 months, plus the FTE offer. The eligibility criteria were strict, requiring high percentages in X, XII, and the pursuing degree.

The hiring process consisted of 4 rounds, starting with the Application Round.

Online Assessment:

Around 1500 students were shortlisted for the PPT and Online Assessment (OA). The assessment was conducted on HackerRank and consisted of 7 questions: 5 MCQs and 2 DSA questions. The MCQs were based on DSA concepts and were easy. The 2 DSA questions were considered LeetCode Hard level and were related to GRAPH, GRAPH + DP, TREE + DP, and DP + MATHS.

After the OA, about 30 people were selected for the physical interview rounds.

Interview Round 1 (Technical):

This round lasted approximately 50 minutes. There were 5-6 different individual interviewers, and the experience varied, but all were friendly and interactive.

Mostly, interviewers asked:

1. 1-2 DSA questions, where the candidate had to write code on paper and explain their approach and time complexity.
2. Questions about almost every detail on the resume. The advice was to know everything written on the resume thoroughly and be honest.

Interview Round 2 (Technical + HR):

After successfully completing the first technical round, the candidate proceeded to this round, which was a mix of technical and HR questions and lasted 40-50 minutes. The interviewer was very friendly, and the interview started with a formal discussion about the candidate.

Questions were asked about projects, requiring detailed explanations including:

• How the project works.
• The top-level architecture diagram.
• Technologies used and protocols applied in the application.

The interviewer also asked about OOPs (C++) concepts, ranging from the four pillars of OOP in C++ to polymorphism and virtual functions. Lastly, there were a few behavioral questions.

After all rounds, 4 students were selected. The candidate emphasized knowing everything on the resume thoroughly for confidence.
