This interview experience for an SDE role at Posist Technologies (now Restroworks) was an on-campus recruitment drive for a Tier 3 college.
Round 1: Online Test
This round consisted of a Google Form test with 15 questions. Candidates were required to answer in paragraphs. The questions covered basic Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) concepts, various Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), and topics related to the MEAN stack. Out of the initial applicants after resume shortlisting, 10 students were shortlisted for the next interview rounds.
Round 2: Online Interview - Technical
The technical interview was conducted via Google Meet. The interviewer started with an introduction from the candidate and asked questions about their past experiences and projects. Following this, two DSA questions were posed, which the candidate successfully solved using Java.
Round 3: Online Interview - CTO
This round was taken by the company's CTO, who was described as friendly and approachable. The CTO delved into detailed questions concerning JavaScript, Node.js, and MongoDB, aiming to assess the candidate's depth of knowledge and expertise in these areas. Interestingly, the emphasis was not heavily on the specific implementation of the code but rather on how the candidate would approach optimizing and improving existing code.
Round 4: Online Interview - HR
The final HR interview was relatively short. The HR representative focused on understanding the candidate's willingness to join and commitment to the company. A background check, including personal and family details, was also conducted. Additionally, a few managerial questions were asked. Most students who reached this round were shortlisted and subsequently received offer letters.
