Experience:

This candidate, an experienced professional, shared their interview journey for an SDE1 (NodeJS backend role) at Reliance Jio, having applied through LinkedIn. The process had four rounds.

1. Round 1 (JavaScript and Data Structure): This round focused on JavaScript fundamentals and data structures. Questions included writing code snippets to explain "Debouncing" and "Throttling." Data structure questions involved "How to find the middle element of a given Linked List" and "Given a binary search tree, write a program to perform DFS (Depth First Search) and BFS (Breadth First Search)." The candidate answered most questions, even though one about a BST came unexpectedly.

2. Round 2 (React Native/Mobile App Dev): This round delved into React Native and mobile application development. Questions were: "Given that to make every successful API call, an auth token is needed. In a screen, three API calls are being made in parallel. Even before making the first API call, the auth token expired. How do you ensure just one call is made, a new token is received from the backend, and then further API calls are made?" and "Create a FlatList with some list of items. Where, by default, all the cards are of green color, and on click of a card, just that card turns red, and the remaining cards stay green." Also, "How do you write a service so that every API call goes through it?" The candidate partially answered the first two and easily the third.

3. Round 3 (Architect or Tech Lead sort of a round): This round focused on in-depth React and mobile application development, requiring practical experience.

4. Round 4 (CTO Round): This was a telephonic round, unlike the previous video call rounds. The CTO asked some basic programming questions, and there was a "deciding question" (not specified).
