Experience:

This experience details the on-campus recruitment process for a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) profile at Reliance Jio. The entire process spanned 6 days and included three rounds.

1. Round 1 (Aptitude): This online test was conducted on the AMCAT platform. It consisted of 39 questions to be solved in 49 minutes, covering basics of maths, English, and CS fundamentals. The candidate stated that it was easily clearable with basic knowledge. Out of 75 eligible students, 22 were shortlisted for the technical round.

2. Round 2 (Technical): This round was considered very important. There were two interviewers. It began with the candidate's introduction, including a brief project discussion. Questions then moved to OOPS concepts, specifically the implementation of polymorphism. A coding question was asked: "check if a number is a perfect square or not." The candidate initially provided a brute force approach, then optimized it with root(n) and log(n) time complexity approaches, followed by a discussion on time complexity. Theoretical questions covered: "What is a database?", "What can we achieve using DBMS?", "What is the primary key?", "What are a deadlock and its handling methods?", "What is concurrency?", "What is the circular wait?" When asked about Java, the candidate mentioned familiarity with C++ but could answer some Java questions, leading to a question about "what is an interface in Java." Further questions included "Do you know SQL and NoSQL databases?", "What is SQL and what are the operations we do in SQL?", "Do you know how to update a column in SQL? (write the basic syntax)", and "What is a drop database? Explain delete and truncate." The round concluded with the interviewers asking if the candidate had any questions.

3. Round 3 (HR Round): After the technical round, 7 students were shortlisted for the HR round. Questions in this round included "Tell me about yourself, your hobbies, and your family background." The candidate received a "Happy Diwali" wish from the interviewer. All 7 shortlisted candidates were selected, including the interviewee.
