This interview experience for a Software Development Engineer role at Reliance Jio involved multiple rounds.
1. Coding Round: This round was hosted on the InterviewBit platform and consisted of 2 questions to be solved in 1 hour. The questions were: "Minimum number of swaps required to sort an array" and "Bringing balls on consecutive positions on a number line."
2. 1st Technical Round: After the coding round, selected students were called for this technical interview. The interviewer asked for an introduction, followed by algorithmic questions. These included: "To find nth node from end in linked list when size of list is unknown" and "Check whether two strings are anagram of each other." The candidate had to provide optimized solutions and complexity analysis.
3. 2nd Technical Round: In this round, the interviewer inquired about the candidate's education history from school to college years. A coding question was then posed: "Given an array with negative and positive numbers, return k elements removing which the sum of the remaining array becomes 0." The candidate had to minimize k and provide an optimized solution.
4. HR Round: Some students, including this candidate, were directly moved to the HR round after the second technical round. The interviewer, who was the Head HR at Reliance Jio, Mumbai, reviewed the resume and asked about the candidate's background, 10th and 12th percentages, JEE Mains and Advance Rank, internships, and projects. Questions also covered expectations from the company and the offered role.
