This candidate, an Electrical Engineering student from NIT Jalandhar (2020-2024), shared their experience for a Summer Intern role at Reliance Industries Limited. The process comprised three rounds.
1. Written Test: This round had two sections: Aptitude and Domain Knowledge. The aptitude section included 30 questions on Quantitative Aptitude, Logical, and Verbal Reasoning. The domain-specific section had 50 questions for Electrical Engineering, covering topics like Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, and other core subjects.
2. Campus Application Form & HR Questions: Candidates who cleared the written test proceeded to fill out a Campus Application form and answer HR questions. These questions aimed to understand career aspirations, hobbies, and personal qualities. An unexpected question was about relatives or acquaintances in government service, medical profession, or chartered accountancy. The candidate also had to elaborate on their interest in working at Reliance.
3. Technical Round: Conducted on Microsoft Teams in the TPO office with two interviewers. The round started with an introduction and discussion about projects. Since the interviewers were aware of the candidate's project, they focused on their role and project management. The candidate was asked about their favorite subject, Electrical Machines. Questions included "What is a synchronous motor and generator?". Other technical questions covered almost everything about motors, how a single-phase supply turns on a fan, and questions about inductors and capacitors. The difficulty ranged from easy to difficult.
The HR round concluded in 10-12 minutes. Out of 45 students, 11 were selected for the internship. The candidate emphasized having a solid grasp of domain subjects and being well-informed about the company.
