Axis Bank conducted an on-campus hiring drive for Analyst Intern roles. The selection process consisted of two eliminatory stages.
Round 1 (Online Test): This 3-hour online test included 15 MCQs on ML regression basics and statistics. There was also a coding question (language choice was open), which was a 2D matrix type problem where 100% accuracy was not expected (the candidate achieved 97% accuracy). Accuracy in MCQs was the most critical factor, not the time of completion. Out of about 120 CV-shortlisted students, 10 were shortlisted for the next round.
Round 2 (Tech+HR round): A panel of three interviewers was present. The interview started with a self-introduction. One interviewer inquired about the candidate's online assessment experience and the intuition behind their approach to the coding problem. The discussion then moved to the CV, focusing on a 2nd-year summer internship as a consultant. A brainstorming market entry problem was posed: "How can you help Tesla to get a market entry strategy to get into the Indian market?" Finally, questions were asked about the candidate's expectations for the internship. Out of the 10 shortlisted students, 4 received offers, and the candidate was one of them.
Tips: Have good projects or internships in relevant fields. Possess a deep understanding of your work and be prepared to answer any questions related to it.
