Axis Bank visited the campus for Analyst Intern roles. The process had two eliminatory stages.
Round 1 (Online Test): This round lasted about 3 hours and included 15 MCQs based on machine learning, statistics, and probability. There was also a coding question, described as a statistical-based optimization problem involving a 2D matrix, where the goal was to achieve maximum accuracy (the candidate achieved 99.24%). Accuracy in MCQs was a crucial requirement. Out of approximately 150 resume-shortlisted students, 15 were shortlisted for the next round.
Round 2 (Tech+HR round): A panel of three interviewers conducted this round. The interview began with an introduction, where an all-around introduction rather than just academic was expected. Interviewers then thoroughly reviewed the candidate's resume, asking in-depth questions about all mentioned projects, particularly two based on machine learning and Django. A technical question on the implementation of Dijkstra's algorithm was also posed. The interview concluded with typical HR questions. Out of the 15 shortlisted students, 5 received offers, and the candidate was among them.
Tips: Build a resume with strong projects and acquire a decent knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
