The candidate was interviewed for the SDE-1 backend role. There were 2 DSA interview rounds and 1 DSA and Low-Level Design combined round.
Round-1 (Technical - 1 hour): This round included 2 DSA questions, one based on Arrays and strings, and another on Arrays and DP. Following the DSA questions, there were several DBMS questions and some Operating System questions. The interviewer was friendly.
Tips: Solve questions with a calm mind, don't stress.
Round 2 (Technical - 1 hour): This round consisted of 3 DSA questions. One question was from trees (right view of a Binary tree), another was on Binary search, and the third question was not remembered by the candidate. After DSA, questions on DBMS queries (like finding the 2nd highest salary), OOPS concepts, and Computer Networking (e.g., what happens when you type www.google.com) were asked.
Tips: Explain OOPS concepts using real-world examples.
Round 3 (Technical - 1.5 hours - CTO Round): The CTO asked one DSA question: "Queue using Stack". After that, the candidate was asked to design a Snake and Ladder game using OOPS concepts and provide logs of every move performed in the game. Some general questions were also asked.
Round 4 (HR Round): Basic HR questions were asked, and salary negotiations were made.
Final Result: Selected.
