This candidate interviewed with Smartcoin (Olyv India) for an SDE Intern role through a campus recruitment drive. The overall process was well-structured and consisted of five rounds.
Round 1: Online Assessment (OA)
- Duration: 90 minutes.
- Content: Three coding problems.
- Key Questions:
- Coding Problem: String Reduction.
- API Problem: A problem related to GitHub.
- JavaScript Code Debugging: Debugging a given JavaScript code.
- Obstacles: Candidates were allowed to search the web within the test platform, but switching tabs was not allowed. The test was proctored by an HR representative on a Zoom call.
- Outcome: Only 6 out of all candidates were shortlisted for the next round.
Round 2: Technical Interview 1
- Duration: 50-60 minutes.
- Format: Conducted online.
- Key Questions:
- Introduction: Interviewer and candidate introductions.
- OOPs and Resume-Based Questions: Questions related to Object-Oriented Programming concepts and the candidate's resume.
- DSA Implementation: Asked to implement a MaxHeap using an array. Other students were asked similar questions, including the Gas Station problem and implementing a MinHeap.
- DBMS Questions: A few questions related to database management systems.
- Closing Question: The interviewer asked if the candidate had any questions for him.
- Obstacles: The difficulty level was moderate to high, and only 1 student was selected for the next round from this stage.
Round 3: Technical Interview 2
- Format: Another technical interview.

Round 4: HR Interview
