An experienced professional with "double digit years in experience" was contacted by an HR from Nagarro via LinkedIn.
1. Proctored Online Test: The candidate took an online test and was selected for the second round.
2. Face-to-Face Interview (Online): This round was scheduled for a Sunday evening with an interviewer in the US. The interviewer's behavior was described as unprofessional, starting abruptly and being exasperated. The interviewer scolded the candidate for using dual screens during the interview, despite being on camera. The interviewer was also distracted, replying to chats on his own second screen.
Questions included: explaining the resume, recent deliverables (customized DR system, architectural changes), and .NET Core concepts. A significant portion of the interview (20 minutes) was spent on a single question about Dependency Injection (singleton, scoped, transient) and how to decide which to use. The interviewer was not satisfied with standard answers and repeatedly asked "how do YOU decide." The candidate was also asked to share their screen and write an SQL query for a given scenario. The overall experience was negative, with the candidate feeling the interviewer was distracted and the questions were handled poorly.
