Netskope visited the candidate's campus in the first week of August 2019.
Round 1 (Online Test): This round lasted 1 hour 30 minutes and consisted of 30 MCQs. Questions covered Java, Operating Systems, Databases, Data Structures and Algorithms, with one question each on Networking and Python. OS and DS&A had the most weightage, and there was no negative marking.
Round 2 (Online Coding Round): 60 students were shortlisted for this round, conducted on Hackerearth. There were 2 questions to be solved in 1 hour 15 minutes.
Round 3 (Technical Interview - Managing Director): 16 students were shortlisted. This was the first technical round. The interviewer presented a scenario with a server of fixed capacity and asked how to prevent it from crashing under a huge amount of requests. The candidate suggested using a queue on the server and returning an error if full. For the client-side, a circular queue with an incrementing wait duration on denial was suggested. Tips included using camelcase, proper function names, and access modifiers.
Round 4: Not explicitly detailed in the snippet, but it implies a continuation of technical assessment based on the overall interview structure for P+I. The previous snippet from GeeksforGeeks (2025-07-23) mentions a fourth round focusing on problem solving and specific data structures/algorithms. Given the context of the 2019 on-campus experience, it's highly likely to be another technical round.
Round 5 (HR Round): Questions included "why Netskope," hobbies, "why a startup," and "why not higher studies." The candidate received a P+I offer.
