Media.net (Directi) visited IIT Patna for 2-month Summer SDE Intern recruitment. The process included an Online Assessment and a Personal Interview.

Round 1: Online Assessment (InterviewBit, 90 minutes)

This round had 3 coding questions with varying difficulty.

• Question 1: Very easy, solvable by everyone.
• Question 2 & 3: Very hard, solved by only 10-15 students.

Topics covered included greedy algorithms, depth-first search, dynamic programming, bit manipulation, and segment trees with tricky and lengthy implementations. Similar problems mentioned were "Remove K Digits", "Count Good Triplets in an Array", "Red Zone", and "Build Array Where You Can Find The Maximum Exactly K Comparisons".

The candidate completed all questions and passed all test cases. Around 10 students, including the candidate, were shortlisted.

Round 2: Personal Interview (1 hour)

This round was conducted by a hiring manager and a technical program manager. They discussed the company's vision and work.

• Behavioral: Initial thoughts on advancing to this round, how the day had been.
• Projects: Discussion about projects and tech stack used.
• Technical: Small technical problems related to HTTP, OS startup, and paging technique.

The interviewers were kind and made the candidate comfortable.
