MSCI visited the campus in August 2021 to hire final year students for the Technology Analyst role. The criterion was CPI: 6.75 and above; Branches Allowed: CS, IT & EXTC.
Round 1 (Online Test on HackerRank – 60 mins): This round had 17 questions (16 MCQs and 1 coding question). The MCQs covered DSA, OS, SQL, OOPs, and Logic, with medium difficulty and tricky nature. The coding question was related to finding the edit distance. 39 students were shortlisted from this round.
Round 2 (Technical Round 1 – 30 to 45 mins): This round focused on technical skills like DSA, OOPS, SQL queries, Python, and questions related to projects and tech-stacks mentioned in the resume. Questions included: "Tell me about yourself," internships and work experience, "shallow copy and deep copy in Java," "purpose of garbage collection," "abstract class and interface," "overloading and overriding," "Python namespace," "difference between list and tuple in Python." The interviewer also asked about web scraping using Beautiful Soup and machine learning familiarity. 23 out of 39 were shortlisted for the next round.
Round 3 (Technical + HR Round – 45 mins to 1 hr): This round tested technical skills (OOPs, SQL, C++, Python, Puzzles) and questions related to internships, work experiences, projects, and tech-stacks. Core subject questions were followed by HR questions to assess confidence in situational scenarios. Questions included: "Tell me about yourself," "Tell me about your Internships and work experience." The candidate was also asked about preferred tech stack and had the opportunity to ask questions to the interviewer.
