L&T visited Government Engineering College Bilaspur Cg for recruitment during August-September 2022. The first stage (Round-0) involved shortlisting candidates based on their HSC (12th standard) percentage, with a cutoff of 65%.
Round-1 was an Online Assessment for the shortlisted candidates. This round consisted of MCQ questions covering Quantitative Aptitude, Logical and Verbal reasoning, Communication, and Subject Specific questions. For Computer Science students, subject-specific questions included DBMS, digital logic, Operating Systems, computer networks, and pseudo-code. There was a sectional cutoff, requiring candidates to attempt all sections wisely.
Round-2 was the Technical Interview. It began with a "Please Introduce Yourself" followed by general questions about hobbies and family. The interviewers then delved into topics mentioned in the candidate's resume. For this candidate, who had Java and related skills, questions included: "What is JIT Compiler?", "Do you know JDK and JRE?", "What is Encapsulation?", "What is a Daemon thread?", "How will you achieve Abstraction?", and "Which is the Super Class of all the Classes?". An Extempore session was also part of this round, where the candidate was given a topic (e.g., "Does an increase in technology increase the jobs or decrease the jobs?") to speak about.
Round-3 was the final HR Interview. Questions asked were: "Introduce yourself," "How much will you rate yourself?", "Name one leadership quality that you possess," "Why do you want to join L&T?", and "Are you willing to relocate?".
