This candidate initially applied for a Frontend Developer position at Locus. The first round was a technical discussion with the CTO, covering overall experience and challenges. An easy DSA question related to the frequency count of an element in an array was asked. The second round was a machine coding session focused on React.js projects. Tasks included setting up an API with filtration input for data search and fixing CSS issues. The candidate managed to address all tasks. After this, there was no communication from HR.
Weeks later, a different HR contacted the candidate for a Full-stack developer role. Despite the candidate's limited backend experience, they were encouraged to interview. The first round for the Full-stack role lasted 45 minutes, with the interviewer asking numerous questions on both frontend and backend development. The candidate answered most frontend questions confidently but struggled with backend queries. Following this interview, the candidate attempted to contact HR multiple times for updates but received no concrete response, describing it as a disappointing experience of being ignored.
