Experience:

This SDE-1 interview experience for Kickdrum was an on-campus opportunity in August 2023.

Round 1: Online Coding Test: This was a 90-minute Calypod test, with a 60-minute active test window. It comprised 45 questions that were a mixture of aptitude, computer programming, and computer subjects. There were also two coding questions. One coding question was "Leaders in an array," an easy problem requiring an O(N) time and O(1) space complexity solution, often solved using a stack approach.

Round 2: Technical Interview: This round involved many technical questions, starting from computer subjects, coding concepts, puzzles, and past projects mentioned in the resume. A puzzle question involved identifying a jar with contaminated pills (weighing 9 grams instead of 10 grams) from five jars using a scale in one measurement.

Round 3: HR Round: This was a basic HR discussion covering questions like expectations from the company, willingness to relocate to Bangalore, why the candidate wants to join Kickdrum, and where they see themselves in 5 years. The candidate received an offer 2-3 days after this round.

Preparation tips included preparing all topics from Coding Ninjas Course and Udemy, practicing over 100 questions on coding platforms, having good projects and internships, and keeping the resume short and honest.
