The candidate, from the Batch of 2025, interviewed for the SDE role.
Round 1: Coding Round (90 minutes, Otemyt platform)
This round consisted of three coding questions primarily based on graph and tree data structures.
Round 2: Coding Round (3 hours, HackerEarth platform)
After about 15-20 days, the candidate was informed of qualification for the first round. A week later, Juspay scheduled a meeting for a hackathon discussion, which turned into the second coding round on the same day.
The question was "Tree of Space," which was quite challenging. The candidate was able to clear all test cases.
Round 3: Optimization and Code Explanation Round (8 hours, Hackathon with mentor)
In this round, the candidate had to explain the intuition behind the submitted code from Part A (Round 2), reduce its time complexity, and make the code thread-safe. A mentor was assigned for assistance, but asking too many questions could impact evaluation.
Despite efforts, the candidate was not able to make it to the fourth round. The fourth round was described as a technical interview focusing on CS fundamentals like OOP, CN, DBMS, and DSA.
