Experience:

This experience is from Jayant Sharma, who was placed as a Software Engineer at Jubilant FoodWorks through on-campus placements at Thapar University. The interview process involved a preliminary coding contest followed by two interview rounds, after an initial CGPA cut-off.

Preliminary Round (Coding Contest):

This round included aptitude questions and a couple of coding questions. The coding questions were DSA-based, with one being a "basic array question" that was not very tough and solved in under five minutes. The main challenge in this round was the MCQs.

First Interview Round:

This round started with an introduction. It comprised a resume review, where Jayant was asked to explain his projects. There were also two DSA questions. One was described as a "hard array question" involving array manipulation/number manipulation, for which the interviewer initially wasn't satisfied with the brute-force approach. The candidate had to explain their approach and then write the code.

Second Interview Round (Technical + Managerial/HR):

This round was a mix of technical and managerial questions. Jayant was asked to design the schema of one of his projects and then write hard-level DBMS queries related to that schema.

Another DSA question was from Linked List, described as a "medium level" standard question (possibly a LeetCode Discuss question or similar, found in standard DSA sheets).

The interviewer also asked questions on OOPs (focusing on the four pillars) and 2-3 OS questions. Standard HR questions were also posed, such as "Why do you want to join this company?" and "What is your favorite hobby?".

Out of approximately 30 students selected for interviews, only two were finally selected, and Jayant was one of them.
