The interview process for the Deputy Manager (Fresher) role at ICICI Bank involved an initial shortlisting and an online test, followed by an interview.
Round 1: Shortlisting and Online Test
The first stage involved shortlisting based on qualifications and resume screening. This was followed by an online test comprising coding questions and logical reasoning. The coding questions primarily tested problem-solving skills and knowledge of programming languages, while the reasoning questions assessed analytical thinking. Approximately 30 candidates were shortlisted for the interview.
Round 2: Interview
Interviews were conducted simultaneously by two panels. The interview began with a "Tell me about yourself" question, followed by a detailed discussion on the candidate's resume. Interviewers delved into Python projects, asking about specific libraries and their usage, and technical aspects and functionality of a Power BI Dashboard mentioned by the candidate. Involvement in extracurriculars, particularly leadership roles (Finance and Marketing Head for ZEST'24 and Web & Media Head for IIM Chapter Pune), was also explored. Typical HR questions regarding strengths, weaknesses, and situational responses were discussed. The overall interview was of moderate difficulty, requiring a solid understanding of technical projects and clarity in explaining work and achievements. Unfortunately, the candidate was not selected, but found the experience valuable for identifying areas of improvement.
