The selection process for the Deputy Manager II role at ICICI Bank for an on-campus drive at NIT Patna consisted of two rounds.

Round 1: Online Assessment
This round was an online assessment of 50 questions, to be completed in 60 minutes, and was considered "very easy". It covered a wide range of computer science topics including information management, object orientation, computer networking, security, and cloud computing. Programming questions involved analyzing code and predicting output in languages like Python (including NumPy, Pandas, and project-oriented), Java, JavaScript, and R. Another task involved using Python code to filter data in a table. The candidate solved 46 out of 50 questions and was selected for the next round.

Round 2: Technical + HR Interview
This combined round was conducted by two interviewers (one male, one female). They started with questions from the candidate's resume and projects, including a self-introduction and family background. A significant part of the interview focused on project discussions, with interviewers keen on understanding how the projects worked and their practical applications. A key question was how one of the candidate's projects could be applied in the banking sector, to which the candidate highlighted the use of Machine Learning and AI for customer service and fraud detection. They also inquired about the candidate's preferred area of work, with the candidate expressing interest in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, and how these fields could benefit ICICI Bank through data-driven insights. Questions about the candidate's understanding of ICICI Bank, its products, and services were also asked. Finally, a crucial question about willingness to relocate across India was posed. The candidate's reluctance to relocate, preferring Prayagraj or Varanasi, impacted the final decision, leading to non-selection.
