This off-campus interview experience for a Technical Analyst role at ION Group, obtained via referral, took about 2 weeks in August 2021 (published July 2025).
Round 1: Online Test: Conducted on the AMCAT platform, it comprised sections on English, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Analysis, Technical Aptitude (CS/IT Basics), Business Analytics (Data Interpretation), and Database and SQL-based questions.
Round 2: Interview Round 1: Conducted on MS Teams for 1.5 hours. It started with a casual conversation and self-introduction. The interviewer then inquired about the candidate's current company, tech-stack, work culture, learnings, and takeaways. Questions included "How will you explain the concept of the Internet to a 6-year-old kid?" and the "Find ages of daughters" puzzle.
Round 3: Interview Round 2: A 30-minute MS Teams interview, starting with "Tell me something about yourself" and a discussion of the candidate's current role. A scenario-based question involved counseling a high school student as an admission counselor.
Round 4: Interview with the Country Head: This was an informal discussion covering introduction, projects mentioned on the resume, travel experiences, and focused on testing confidence and communication skills.
The candidate was selected for the role.
