The interview process for the Technical Analyst role at ION Group consisted of 2 rounds.
Round 1: Online Assessment (HackerRank): This was a 120-minute test with 95 questions, mostly aptitude, logical reasoning, and basic technical questions. Time management was crucial.
Round 2: Online Interview (MS TEAMS): This 60-minute interview included a self-introduction, project discussion, and questions about the institution. The interviewer asked, "What do you know about ION?", "How do you maintain workload balance?", and "What do you think about the Technical Analyst role?". A behavioral question was "How would you explain what is AI to a kid aged 4 to 8?". A case-based question on teamwork was posed: "Have you ever faced a situation where you had to lead or make a decision in a team?". Resume-based questions on AWS were asked, including "What is EC2?", "What are AWS security groups?", "How to clear cache memory in AWS?", and "How are Gmail services handled in AWS?". Technical questions included writing a program to count the frequency of each character in a string, and concepts from DBMS like subnetting, subqueries, and normalization. A cube puzzle (rat moving to diagonally opposite corner without moving diagonally) was also asked. The candidate was unfortunately not selected after this round.
