Difficulty: Easy to Hard
Rounds: 4 rounds
Topics Asked: Arrays, Strings, Trees, Projects, Computer Fundamentals (SQL queries, OOPs, OS), Data Structures, Algorithms.
The interview process included resume selection, 1 Online Coding Round (HackerRank), 2 Technical Interview Rounds, and an HR Round.
Coding Round: Four questions were asked. One was easy, two were medium, and one was hard. The candidate solved 3 questions completely (easy and medium) and passed some test cases for the hard one. Questions were based on arrays, strings, and trees.
Technical Interview Round 1: Started with an introduction and detailed discussion about projects and contributions. Then, computer fundamental questions were asked: "What is a database and database management system and why is it preferred over traditional file management systems?". The candidate had to write an SQL query as per given conditions in an online editor. OOPs questions covered pillars of OOPs, explaining polymorphism and its types with examples, and the difference between function overloading and overriding. An OS question asked to explain the threading concept. Finally, 2 DSA questions were asked, followed by a rapid-fire round on DSA concepts. The first DSA question was easy: "Reverse the doubly linked list" (brute force to optimal solution, then run code). The second DSA question was array-based: "Given an array arr[] and an integer K, the task is to find the maximize the sum of K elements in the Array by taking only corner elements."
Although the interview went well, the candidate was not selected for the next round.
