Experience:

This candidate participated in HackWithInfy for the Specialist Programmer role.

Online Assessment: Conducted on July 12, 2025, via HackWithInfy. It consisted of 3 coding questions: 2 medium and 1 hard, covering topics like Dynamic Programming, Graphs, and Greedy algorithms. The candidate solved 1 completely and 2 partially (~50% test cases passed), which was sufficient to qualify for the interview.

Technical Interview: The interview was scheduled for September 27. The interviewer asked the candidate to explain their approach to a solution in detail and then gave a LeetCode hard sliding window problem, which the candidate solved successfully. Other technical questions included Topological sorting, doubly linked lists, deadlocks in Operating Systems, normalization in DBMS, and two SQL queries. OOPS, Computer Networks, and Design Patterns were also covered. The interviewer also discussed emerging technologies like AI.

Tips and Suggestions: Consistent practice of DSA is crucial, especially for the SP role. Master basics like Linked Lists and BSTs. Even partial correctness in coding problems is valuable. Time-boxed practice is critical. Treat rejections as learning milestones. For preparation, the candidate divided their focus into 10 components: DSA (including solving at least one coding question in front of the interviewer on the Wingspan portal), Operating Systems, Database Management System, SQL, Computer Networks, OOPS, HR-based questions, Design Patterns, Resume prep, and Emerging Technologies discussion.
