The selection process for Indus Insights consisted of four rigorous rounds. Approximately 400 students appeared for the initial test, and only 39 were shortlisted for the next stage.
Round 1: Written Aptitude Test
This round comprised 27 questions covering Data Interpretation, Critical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. The company provided a guide for preparation which included analytical, logic, and English sections.
Round 2: Guesstimate Round (Off-campus)
This was an eliminating off-campus round focused on guesstimates. A specific question asked was to "make a guesstimate of the revenue of McDonald's across the country." Out of 39 candidates, 12 moved to the third round.
Round 3: Case Study Round
This round involved a "calculation based" case study, with one example being about airlines. Candidates were expected to understand various case study frameworks. From this round, 5 candidates were selected for the final interview.
Round 4: CEO/HR Interview
The final 5 candidates were interviewed by the CEO and faced HR questions. The HR round was entirely based on the candidate's CV and career plans. Ultimately, offers were made to 3 candidates.
Preparation tips included practicing case studies and guesstimates daily and being thorough with frameworks. It was also advised to be honest if an answer is unknown, rather than beating around the bush.
